Clara Brown

	Clara Brown, 96, of Du Quoin, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at 12:40 a.m. at Marshall Browning Hospital.
	Ms. Brown was a restaurant cook in St. Louis, Mo.   She was a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church in Du Quoin where she was a church usher and the Du Quoin Senior Citizens.
	She was born April 1, 1908 in Mississippi, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Burns) Brown.
	Surviving are nieces, Lillie Clarry, Alvena Peters and Mary Clark, all of Du Quoin, and Cenelia Meyers of Champaign and nephews, Norbert Brown of Du Quoin, Leonard Brown of Chicago, Gerald Brown of Murphysboro, Ronald Lewis Brown of Carbondale, Charles Brown and Johnny Mack Brown, both of Du Quoin.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
	Funeral services wereSaturday, June 12 at 1 p.m. at Maxton Funeral Chapel in Du Quoin with Rev. Anthony Goodrum officiating.  Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery in Du Quoin.
	Friends called after 10 a.m. Saturday at Maxton Chapel.
